Some net friend had a trip a couple of days ago to check the 'Victoria City boundary stones'. He found that the one at Magazine Gap Road (the latest one found) had been removed. Any idea who did that? Or it was done by the government for conservation purpose?

Re: Magazine Gap Boundary Stone
Walked past the site today. What is left is only a fading imprint on the stone wall of what was once the Boundary Stone. A new postbox has been erected.
Re: Magazine Gap Boundary Stone
Noted the recent interest of finding a possible City of Victoria Boundary Stone at Rosaryhill School.
What about the one that was destroyed at Magazine Gap in 2007?
Surely by now after a lapse of 3 years, the AMO if it was indeed 'antiquity conscious' would have co-ordinated with the relevant Government department to erect a replica stone structure near where the original had been located and perhaps also at Causeway Bay where the eastern boundary ends!
Re: Magazine Gap Boundary Stone
Hi there,
Well, well, just checked the 1:1000 digital based map concerning the Magazine Gap City Boundary Stone. As the stone had already been removed the map did not have an 'M' there. It does have a green postbox icon, an 'L' for Light post, and an 'H' for Fire Hose nearby.
The digital maps are quite update.
As for the Aberdeen Reservoir area that I have been browsing last night, they even have quite a few graves marked up. Now I know why there are paths in leading down the slopes along the main footpath in some locations.
Best Regards,
