I'm not sure of the modern name for this square but I think that it used to be called the Court House Square. In 1987 many of the trams were much the same as they had been in 1958. The coachwork was the traditional green and some of the roofs tended to leak in heavy rain.<Read more ...>

This photograph was taken on Queensway looking West. The flats on the right were in the police compound. Some of the old buildings associated with the Royal Navy's H.M.S Tamar can be seen in the centre. The trees on the left were in the grounds of the old Victoria barracks and I think that the triangular piece of pavement in the left foreground could be where a pill box used to be. <Read more ...>
