Hung Hom Police Station 1945_49

Aerial view of the area where the first Hung Hom Police Station should be.

The one from 1945 was taken from a flying height of 20.000 feet, therefore the resolution is pretty poor. The one from 1949 was taken at 8.000 feet, it's much clearer.

Two aerial photographs of the overhead ropeway at Green Island Cement Company.

Lower photo from 1969

Possibly for land sale of parts of their site near Ma Tau Wei Road the ropeway was modified. The ropeway was not just shortened, but also moved some 10 meters to the southeast. This can be seen on this photo  where the situation from 1963 is compared to the one in 1969.

Shows the arial ropeway at the Green Island Cement Company. The ropeway ends at a long shed (inside the red circle). 

Fortunately, the sun is quite low so one can see the shadows of both pylons and rope.

On the left of the playground is Violet Peel Health Clinic [1935-c.1989]. At the bend of Johnston Road should be The Pawn.
