Kwuntong industrial area, c 1973. To the right is the airport runway being extended. To the left is the Cha Kwo Ling oil depot. Opposite are shau kei wan and quarry bay on hong kong island. The taikoo dockyard is still there.

Extension of the runway towards Channel Rock under way.

1970s RAF Kai Tak

I think that is a Venom aircraft of 28 Squadron in the foreground that took up gate guardian duties at RAF Kai Tak. A photo here of the Venom with supplementary information here. As the Wessex helicopter in the background was introduced in 1972, I surmise the photo was taken in the mid-1970s.
