Very little is known about the Man Ming Theatre following an internet search. According to Cinema Treasures, it was a Pre-WWII neighbourhood cinema. It opened at an unknown date before June 7, 1937 and was in the film guide of the local newspapers between 1938 and 1941. For the purpose of this page, the opening date is estimated to be June 1, 1937, and its closing date December 31, 1941.

Mandarin Theatre operated during the period May 27, 1965 - October 1, 1980. Subsequently, a commercial building with a mini theatre was built on the site with a seating capacity of 702; and it was closed some time in 2001.
Two different addresses appear in the sources - 圍仔街15號 and 坪洲永安街415地段, and the latter does not match the true location of the theatre when the number 415 is used as street number. The building is a short distace east of the junction of Chi Yan Street and Shing Ka Road, Peng Chau, Hong Kong. Lung Wah Theatre operated during the period June 15, 1962 - December 29, 1996. The 2011 Google photos show the theatre building remained standing at the site, and re-developments taking place nearby. It is doubtful the building will last long, if it has not been demolished since then.

Loong Shing Theatre operated during the period January 27, 1952 - January 4, 1973.

London Theatre 倫敦大戲院 was the first to operate at the site with a seating capacity of 1,404. It operated during the period February 5, 1962 - January 1, 1988.
