The predecessor of La Salle College, the mother school of Bruce Lee.

Built in 1917, now Windsor Mansion 29-31 Chatham Road South

Brother Aimar was the man whose vision and courage led to the eventual establishment of La Salle College. In the 20's, the Government encouraged people to buy land around Kowloon Tong and to set up a residential area. The shift of the Portugese Community from Hong Kong Island made the establishment of a Catholic school there imperative.............. <Read more ...>

Chung Sing Benevolent Society School / Bayanihan Kennedy Town Centre [1956- ]

This building was originally a school - the old name is still visible on the side of the building, so if you're passing by please could you let us know what it was? [Update: It was the "Chung Sing Benevolent Society School", see Tony's comment below.]

Today it houses the Bayanihan Kennedy Town Centre, a charitable organisation providing services to domestic helpers from overseas who are working in Hong Kong. <Read more ...>

Whitfield junior school, Kowloon [????-????]

I've created this Place based on recent photos added by the Webb family.

It was a junior school for children whose parents were in Hong Kong with the British armed forces. From its name I assume it was in Whitfield Barracks, but if you can tell us more about its location and when it was in operation, please let us know in the comments below. <Read more ...>

Abandoned school in Wo Tin, Lantau [1962- ]

Hi

A friend of mine who lives in Mui Wo recently toured me in the surrounding villages. We walked through an old abandoned school in Wo Tin, very close to the silvermine waterfall (I wonder how I never noticed it before). There is nothing left in the three classroom building but one sign on the wall marked 1962, portraying the original management team.

I couldn't find anything online about the school, does anyone know about it?
