Submitted by brian edgar on Thu, 2013-08-15 21:23Book / Document:Date(s) of events described:Mon, 21 Sep 1942Dorothy Jenner notes in her diary that there's been a strike of vegetable cutters and wood cutters, who came out when their extra rations were cut due to camp shortages. In spite of the ringing slogan 'A matter of principle' the strikers meet with little sympathy, and section leader ('blockhead') Jenner soon fills their places with willing workers.
