I was an RAF photographer at that time based in RAF Kai Tak. I was sent by Land Rover to photograph the wreckage or what was left of it. The pilot was Fl Lt David Crighton who a few days before was celebrating his end of posting at Kai Tak. This was his final flight before leaving. Some of us had atended a party at a bar in Hong Kong and took photos of him (which i still have). He was a charming man and had been ADC to the Governor.
