I've been waiting for a photo of the cannon! Having grown up on Mount Austin I remember this cannon very clearly. Some of my earliest memories were of me using it as a slide. I've been trying to go through family albums to share a photo of the cannon as I have been wondering where it had disappeared to. It had been by the small pavillion at the umbrella seat between the old Mount Austin Mansions and the present Peak Gardens through till sometime in 90s. I recall being told it was moved to the police museum on Coombe Road.
I have not ventured up to the Police Museum in Coombe Rd in a while. Back in 1995, this was the photo of a field gun outside the main entrance. The Peak Cannon, as I understand, is currently located at the Peak Police Statiom and not at the Police Museum
It would be nice to see your photos of the Victoria Peak Lookout Cannon and other photos of the Peak and the general area.
