Royal Army Medical Corps about 1949/50?

This shows my dad Bill Grierson From Cumnock, Ayrshire, Scotland) stationed here as a medical orderly about 1949-1953. He's the one sitting on a mates knee holding a bottle of beer! Sadly my Dad passed away in Oct 2009 but I remember him telling me amazing stories about Hong Kong. This is the only photo left of 3 albums that went up in flames in a house fire. I would be very interested in anyone who is in the photo or can shed some light on where it was taken. Please email me here bgrierson@mac.com

You might also try searching the internet for "BMH Bowen Road". It's full name was 'British Military Hospital Bowen Road'. You can see some photos of it here.

It was the British Army's hospital in the 1950s, so your dad would likely have spent some time there. The internet search returns several sites that reunite people who served at that hospital, so if you're lucky you'll find some of his friends there.

Good luck, and please let us know if you confirm the location of the photo.
