Strange. It seems to have too many buildings (assuming that's what all the white things are) around it to be Aberdeen Reservoir, and is surrounded by too many high peaks. Doesn't look much like Pokfulam either.
I played with Google Earth a bit and come up with three screen captures of different elevation exaggeration for your information. The resemblance is not 100%, but it is very close. I would still say it is Aberdeen Upper Reservoir.
Maybe it is Aberdeen - I assumed it was Pokfulam because I think it was taken from our house at Mt Kellett. It was taken by my father and is in an album with no captions! You are probably right!
If you could remember which direction your house was facing it would answer itself. If you were facing East or South East, where the morning sun shined into your house then it would be Aberdeen Reservoir.

I am definitely sure this is the view southside (more south-eastwards) over Aberdeen Reservoir and beyond. The reservoir is the closest body of water, lower left of the photo. The hill right of the reservoir is Bennet's Hill. Shouson Hill's in the middle of the photo, dotted with homes almost all the way up its summit. Following the coast on the right you can see a some of Deep Water Bay (where houses are built on a hillside down to water's edge), Middle Island, Repulse Bay, South Bay and Chung Hom Kok. The two more prominent peaks are Violet Hill centre left and The Twins centre right. Rising far right out of the picture is Brick Hill which the Ocean Park cable car climbs today.

Re: View to Pokfulam???
Hi there,
I believe the reservoir in the photograph was the Upper Aberdeen Reservoir instead.

Map from Mt Kellett to the Reservoirs
And the background of the picture matches pictures of the aberdeen reservoirs from Mt Kellett.
