Hi there,

The skyline does look right for Junk Bay, nor does that many high rises back then.  I wonder if it was Chia Wan in the photo.

The high mountain on the extreme right that slopes down looks like Mount Parker. So one could be looking at Hong Kong Island east towards Chai Wan

You may be right, perhaps I have the photos in reverse order and this was taken on the way back to Queens Pier from Joss House Bay
