Pretty sure this photo (taken by my mother in 1948) was taken in Senado Square, Macau. The distinctive floor tiles confirm this for me - perhaps Moddsey can confirm?

You may be right about the location but offhand I cannot recall the building with the rounded facade in the Square.

it is on rua do campo.  the building with the rounded corner was  pwd (obras públicas) and is now a bank
