Passes issued to Osler Thomas by the Communist Guerrillas in 1943, allowing him to carry documents and medicines, in the sea between the New Territories and Shayuchung of Dapeng Bay.  Shayuchung was BAAG Post X where agents boarded guerrilla junks for Post Y Chek Keng, Saikung.  The Pass was issued by Fong Kwok-wan, 2i/c of the Red Guerrillas.

The other pass in scribbles was said to be issued and signed by Lau Pui (according to Osler Thomas).  Lau lost one hand during the war.  Lau Pui was head of the marine section of the Red Guerrillas covering the sea between Dapeng Bay and Saikung,  His guerrilla group was referred to as the Marine Defence Unit.  They captured the BAAG Shipping Recce Team at Tsat Neng Shan, Koling, Dapeng and kept them in Peng Chau from Oct to Dec 1944 for ransom.  Post-War, Lau became a Vice Admiral of the PLA Navy at Hainan Island.
