Do You Recognise Anyone in This Photo?

The great-nephew of Edward David Sykes sent me this photo his sister recently found. He thinks his great-uncle is the man on the far right, with the hat in his hand. I've been able to find another photo by the photography studio (Ming Yuen) that was taken in front of the same building. It appears to be a church. Any insight you have on this photo and the people in it is greatly appreciated.
