Peter noted that the friend on the right was called Hugh Sullivan. I am fairly certain that I have seen this photograph elsewhere in the 367 archive showing Mick Rice on the left another linguist, who is writing a letter home. Boxes were scrounged to take more of their 'gear' - the one on the right had originally held a large number tins of steak and kidney puddings - one of the staples of R.A.F. cook houses. (Andrew S)
