Very interested to see this as I also was refused deferment beyond age of 21, but do not have this notice, lost it many years ago, if the date on it is your fathers birth date, I was born 1 month later, maybe our paths crossed closer than currently found, after basic training, (I went to Honiton in Devon) what was his trade REME, do you know? Bryan.

Hi Bryan, he was a mechanic working on the local trucks up here in Derbyshire.In the REME he was responsible for servicing/repairing tanks.
I have one of his old notebooks somewhere with tank details hand written in it.

Comet Tank 1957/58
Hi. David, This Comet Tank (20/Zr 65) is seen leaving the Tank Park bound for the Tank training area, it is here where your father serviced/repaired/ maintained the Comets., This Tank my even be named in his notebook? If you have been able to view all the photos in my gallery please view -Fred Evans photos- also in the 1950s gallery as he was also stationed here and has many photos taken in and around Sek Kong. Bryan
