Hello David

Unfortunately, I can't provide the actual year of his death as the old SCMP clipping came to me from "someone" many years ago after I left Hong Kong in 1985. Some years later I scanned it and binned the clipping. I do believe he lived at least into the eighties or nineties but I lost touch after my last visit to his home in Somerset in 1966.

It would have been 1984. He died on 14th April 1984. Born 20th January 1901
