Many thanks for finding and posting this ad, IDJ. Well boring is new to me as a C.E. Warren & Co. activity, but the company was having to diversify in 1940, whether in air raid shelters or wells. There are other threads on Hong Kong water shortages and wells. When the water was cut off after the Japanese invasion, wells were a vital resource.
