The silver trowel
The Chinese inscribtion on the trowel consisted of three vertical lines:
First line interpreted as -- In commeration of the "Over-Wearied Santiorium" foundation stone ceremony.
Second line interpreted as -- Keepsake for Mrs Stewart
Third line interpreted as -- 15 April, 1955
For the foundation stone of the St Thomas Clinic, the four big chinese characters on right hand side of the foundation stone means "Let the sickness be healed" quoted from Bible Apostles 5:16
