Given the route my guess is the lighthouse on the Brothers island in the Red Sea

Our return journey route was Singapore, Penang, Colombo, Bombay, Aden, Suez Canal, Port Said, Gibraltor

It's very likely to be the lighthouse on the Big Brother ...
