The notes on Flickr say it was rebuilt in 1954. Does anyone know where it was, and if the 1954 version is is still standing?

In Posts 600 and 604, people were saying that 1964 and 1973 aerial photos did not show the building on the left.

In the colour photo, the building seems to be a new structure since the roof was flat and there were no doors or windows.

Thanks C, so on Pok Fu Lam Road between the cemetery and the junction with Mount Davis Road.

Hi there,

There had been discussions in other Chinese forums about the location of this Pavilion and some suggested it should be a bit closer to Pokfield Road on Pokfulam Road.  However back in those days Pokfulam Road had not been widened.  Maybe near the city boundary stone where a small section of the original Pokfulam Road was preserved?

I would try to take a look at the Aerial Photo Book for clues later.

Best Regards,

T

Hi T,

Can you please point me to the discussion on Chinese forums please?  Thanks!

Hi there,

I'll have to look up my browser history for that.  But based on the old photos there, the site was likly just a bit up, on the opposite side of the City Boundary Stone.

More later.  As for the time being, try this as someone had marked up a likely position.

Best Regards,

T
