According to a newspaper article in the Singapore Free Press and Mercantile Advertiser (13 March 1935, p 12), Gibb Livingston & Co were managing the shipping for Burns Philp, in 1935. Burns Philp were an Australian company. Here is an extract from the newspaper article:

Gibb, Livingston and Company are at present the Agents for Burns, Philp in Hong Kong and will be managing the ship’s affairs on this trip and the next, and probably subsequently.

So now I understand why both companies keep coming up in my research of Francis Leslie Ball.
