This is a photo from october,1969. I'm wondering if anyone can identify this unfinished stairway? The pink building behind has the letters "HKSPCA" visible-Society for the prevention of cruelty to animals?

I've since done a bit of research-the Dorothy Mc Gregor Animal Clinic of the SPCA was opened in 1964 on Harcourt Road, just east of the Naval Dockyard. It is shown on my '72 map of HK.

that was where the red cross blood collection services had their headquarters,  my mother was based there supporting the mobile units during the 70/80s.  perhaps alongside a spca headquarters?  will check with her

The SPCA was located next to the Red Cross. I had two occasions to go there, once to donate blood and the other occasion to pick up an unwanted dog. In the 1970s, Hong Kong Air operated their helicopter charters from Harcourt Road Heliport adjacent to the site.
