KCR Terminus, TST
I wonder when they took down the covered entrance. Grandma and I walked under it on our way to take the first morning train to Canton in late 40s and early 50s. One time, we waited a very long time to be processed at the border. From Canton Station, we took the tricycle-ricksaw ride and reached the family house (near Dr Sun's Memorial Hall) about supper time. Current transportation system, I heard, can get me there in time for brunch.
Covered entrance
Do you mean the covered entrance to in the bottom right of the photo?
Looking at this timeline it seems to have disappeared in the late 50s / early 60s: http://gwulo.com/node/2321/photos
I guess it was demolished when they built the new Star Ferry piers, which opened in 1958:

PS We took the train up to Guangzhou at Christmas. About 2 hours on the train, and just a few minutes to get through immigration. The train wasn't busy at all, as many people go by bus now.
covered entrance
it looks like the covered entrance was replaced by the road that circles to the pier, so I'm assuming the addition of the road was part of the pier upgrade?
TST Station
It's impressive to see the number of what appear to be Post War vehicles parked outside if this photo was taken in 1946.

Thank you David and Phil for the prompt feedback. The entry way to this covered walkway, shown in two of your photos, got me interested and I would look up to its ceiling as we walked towards the station. Two hours on the train, today, impressive indeed!
TST Railway Station 1930s
Greetings. The early photos of the TST train station show there was a track extending further west (crossing the present bus routes). This must be that track so I wonder if this was a first class passenger cabin serving another platform. Regards, Peter
