I took this picture from a higher floor (top?) of the old Park Hotel located at the corner of Chatham and Cameron Road. The direction is more or less south. Most likely the building in the background left is the Tsim Sha Tsui Centre (reading on the building: ..G CENTRE COMPLEX). I guess the old buildings in front and on right hand side haven been demolished (shortly) after the photo was taken. In the center background is a building, possibly the former Regent, and now Intercontinental Hotel?

With the view south, I think
With the view south, I think the Tsim Sha Tsui Centre would be a bit further left, and so out of sight in this photo. Maybe the building under construction was the Wing On Plaza or the Shangri-la?
The building in the centre background is a wing of the New World Centre, the Regent / InterContinental Hotel building is further around to the right.
Here's a slightly earlier view of that area:
Thanks for posting your photos, and for posting in high resolution so we can zoom in.

Re: Original Photo
I tend to agree with David that the Tsim Sha Tsui Centre as well as the Royal Garden Hotel are out of sight. The building under construction on the left should be the Wing On Plaza.
Re: Wing on Plaza
David and Moddsey,
I agree with both of you that the building is not the Tsim Sha Tsui Centre (six years after posting, six years wiser???). The building is L-shaped, that's the clue.
Also agree with the New World Centre in centre back, but there seem to be two buildings.
