This is my mother, taken in 1906 by the Mee Cheung Studio on Ice House Lane. Her father John Jupp was a partner in J.D. Humphreys & Sons. The family lived at 'Ianmor', Peak Road; I wonder if the picture was taken there or at the studio.

It looks more like an outdoors view than a studio, with the bricks and steps in the background, so I'd say it was at the house.
I'm not sure where Ianmor was yet. Possibly in the cluster of buildings near the Ladies Recreation Club.

Thanks, David.I have a copy of a list of residences from the official 'Index to Streets, Numbers of Houses &c' from 1903.This lists Ian Mor East at no 14 Peak Road (I.L.1485) and Ian Mor West as no16. Ladies recreation Club is no 10 (I.L.898). More or less where you say! I could upload the document if it's any use. If so, in which section?
