Looking for help to identify these photos my grandfather took when he was in Hong Kong with the British Army in the 1950s. I've carried out some research by looking at old photos but with limited success. The photos have also been shared with a number of Facebook forums. I'm really grateful for any help anyone can give as my goal is to build an album showing my grandfather's photos against the modern day photos of our time in Hong Kong.

This photo was taken from the roof of La Salle College. The nissen huts in the distance were part of the Argyle Street Barracks. The short street facing the photographer is aptly named "Short Street".

The horizontal road on top is Prince Edward Road. The one vertical is Shart Street. The one horizontal at the bottom is boundary street. The streets are still there. Photo taken at old La Salle College looking south. The building on the lower right corner is still there. Old La Salle College was demolished in 1980. I can still see the top part of the old college entrance at the bottom of the photo. Thanks for the photos. I was graduated from this college. Grateful if I could have a set of this digital photo to my email matthew_wu_hk@yahoo.com. I am doing a reseach of my old school. thanks. matthew
