I'm not sure what drinks were for sale but the sugar cane press in the centre of the photograph caught my eye as being something nothing like as common as they had been in the 1950s or even in 1981. The stack of sugar cane in the container had already been stripped of its bark. I have a feeling that, in the 1950s, the cane was put through the rollers with the bark still on it.
