It seems we can see a white building which is the police station. And then there is a turn in the shoreline which is Stewart road. Then there is a stone pier which I believe is the predecessor of the Tonnochy pier operated by YMT ferry company. It started operation in 1949. So the picture should be taken before 1949.

In the early days, it didn't even have a roof. The following 1949 photo shows how it was like.

Another picture around this place in 1936. We can see the pier which was the predecessor of Tonnochy pier operated by YMT ferry from 1949 to 1968.
