This picture was taken from Garden Road looking South East as the round tower on the right of the photo is the club Germania Building which was confiscated in WW1 and became St Joseph's college in the 1920's

The apartment block just to the left of the tower may be St Joan's court 1st Generation

Interesting angle, I don't think we've seen this view before. I guess the photographer was in the lower building of St Joseph's (the one with the square towers that is there today), looking across the playground to the old Club Germania building.
