Thanks for sharing this map! Would you have a larger picture of the whole map, a source for this map or a confirmation of the mentioned 1889 date? It'd be quite interesting if there was a map showing the battery and beds pre-dating 1890.
Another 1889 map exists in the Hong Kong Public Library Map Library. On it the Victoria Battery and West Point Filter Beds (+ adjoining structures) aren't there yet (see below).
