Is that the C. M. S. Victoria Home and Orphanage (Girls) (Second location) [1901-1937] on the hill in the background, right of centre? It looks similar to the building in this photo:

The Orphanage and Church were located northwest of the Sacred Hill. The identification of the Orphanage and Church appears correct.  I guess the 1935 photo was taken near Ma Tau Chung showing the foot of the Sacred Hill on the right.
