I think this is Lyemun Barracks
I used to visit this barracks with my father when he was checking the catering arrangements. He was the head of the Army Catering Corps in Hong Kong from Aug 1959 - Jul 1962. He used to go off to check the kitchens etc. I & my brother would be taken to see the Bear in its cage which was by the car park (it was medium size, black with a triangular white patch on its chest. Is that a honey bear?). I also visited the barracks to carry out inspections & visits myself when I was serving in the Army in HK from 1982 - 1984. At that time is was used by the HK Military Service Corps. A bear was still there & was the mascot of the HKMSC. Arn't the buildings part of Lei Yue Mun park & hoilday village now?
Thanks Guy, I have a
