Looked up the registration. Apparently, it is a Vampire. The aircraft was scratched in 1957.

Thanks Moddsey. If I remember correctly the Vampires were fairly quickly replaced by the Venoms.

Yes, in February 1956, the Vampires belonging to 28 Squadron were gradually replaced by Venoms.
