New Oriental Building is under construction, it was completed in 1898. The Hong Kong Club building on its right. (The Club founded in 1846, was originally located on Wyndham Street before moving to its current site in 1896)

The Temporary pier off Ice House Street is visible in the direction of Hong Kong Club Building.
