My father was posted to HK and served in the Royal Corp of Transport as a driver in 1952/3 for his national service. He often spoke about his time there with great affection. He enjoyed the work and the friendship of his pals whilst serving in the exotic location of HongKong. He came back with a small album of photos of his time there. However i have always wondered wherethe location of his barracks would havebeen.I know he was mainly employed draging new tanks up to the China border area. Also recoverind dead tanks ref broken down to the maintenance workshops whereever that was.If anyone knows can they relay this information to me please via this site.
