The red brick building resemble the Japanese-occupation period architecture in Taiwan.
Also, 國術館 (Martial art club) was quite common in the past in Taiwan.
Di Hua Street
This looks like Di Hua Street in Taipei. Same street used in The Sand Pebbles as the sailors are bombarded with food as they go back to the boat.
