What a treat to see this old photo of one of those cloth merchants that filled the lanes between Des Voeux Rd C and Queen's Rd C. Stylish local women would pick out the material they fancied for their next cheongsam at a time when tailors were a dime a dozen. Few would buy off the rack like they do now.
