An elderly friend of mine seems convinced this is in Shanghai Street somewhere between Yau Ma Tei and Mong Kok.

He, like I also did, noticed the small discreet yellow sign with "68"   on it with the words 全套 ( "chuen-to") ....... meaning "full set"  ……….. I will leave those with a vivid imagination to decipher what this could possibly mean.

These signs were found quite commonly in areas of Yau Ma Tei, Mongkok and Sham Shui Po where ‘ladies of the night’ were  ( still are ?) found in abundance. Most ex-Hong Kong policeman would probably know what a “ full set” implied  but for those who are still none the wiser, I can assure them it was not an invitation for afternoon tea.

Many thanks for the info @Chinarail, most interesting. I wasnt aware that sign but I understand now.

I forgot to mention the 68 was the price in $.......so I am told.

Haha! Further back there is the same yellow sign but 65! Undercutting competition!

Well spotted. I must remember where this shop is............wink.

First impressions. Perhaps Shanghai Street looking towards Jordan Road in Yau Ma Tei

I am very familiar with this area. This is Shanghai Street looking towards Jordan Road. The road immediate in front is Ning Po Street.
