Banoo villa was located on Stanley Peninsula, a triangular site at the junction of Tung Tau Wan Road and Wong Ma Kok Road, completed in October 1950. Local Architects Messrs Chow & Lee for the well known business man and philanthropist Jehangir Hormus Ruttongee who was famous for founding the Ruttongee Sanatoria and helped with the establishment of the Hong Kong Anti-Tubercolosis Association.
