looks like original marine police HQ on the hill, with beach where Peninsula et al stand now. nullahtastic

That's a good photo. Interesting to see the ornate bridge in the foreground - the area was laid out with quite a garden feel to it.

I'm still curious to know when & how the Marine Police HQ transformed. Was the old, ornate building levelled and re-built, or did it form the core of the new building with extra bits added on?
