R. J. Hardy was a Sergeant in the R.A.F.

He was senetnced to 15 years in jail for his participation in the resistance in Shamshuipo POW Camp.

He served his time in Stanley Prison and in Canton, survving a serious illness to return to Hong Kong and marry his pre-war fiancee in early September 1945. 

He later gave evidence at a War Crimes Trial.

One of the sketch maps given to me by Dr. Patrick Van de Linde, Major i/c Medical at BAAG AHQ Wai Chow.  He believed that my uncle Mark Tsui Shing-cheung, Confidential Clerk of the Field Intelligence Group, drew it as he drew many of the sketch maps & site plans for the intelligence reports in the early period.

Picture taken soon after Japanese surrender.  BAAG AHQ East was awaiting orders to proceed to Canton where they participated in the Allied Victory Parade led by Chinese Admiral Chan Chak KBE who was appointed Mayor of Canton.

Dr Raymond Mok, O.B. E., studied at La Salle College and entered the Medical Department of Hong Kong University in September 1938. His studies were interrupted by the Japanese attack in December 1941, and he served as a sergeant in the Field Ambulance during the hositliities.
