The crane ship Seishu Maru lowers an UNRRA 2-8-0 locomotive onto the track of the  seafront railway siding alongside the Kowloon Canton Railway’s terminus at Tsim Sha Tsui.

Grave of Captain Abel Vyvyan  who died on 12th October 1797 at  Whamoa . Vyvyan was Captain of the East India Company’s ship “Canton” which made several trips to China.

Grave of Alexander Hill Everett (1792-1847)

Grave of Alexander Hill Everett ( 1792-1847) who was the first resident American Minister to China. Having been appointed in 1845, he sailed for Canton but returned home before reaching there because of illness. In 1846 he sailed a second time eventually reaching Canton in the summer of  1847 but died shortly later on 28th June.
