Kweilin and Castle Peak Road Junction

This grass median points to the spot where Castle Peak Road branches off from Tai Po Road, with the camera looking to the southeast.  This was a place to relax.  I walked on it a few times but didn't want to sit down onto mud (after rain) or a cigarette butt.

This is the army school at Fort Stanley. I am on the second row from the from far left. We only lived in Fort Stanley for a short time (1952) until we moved to the army quarters at  Lei Yue Mun. To get to the school at Fort Stanley a small group of us travelled in an "open" canvas covered army truck. From what I can recall the teachers were the vicar's wife and officers wives. I am not sure how many were fully qualified teachers. My parents moved me to the French Convent School. A totally different experience!!
