HK Tramways erected a handsome clock at the junction of Des Voeux Road Central and Pedder Street opposite the General Post Office. The clock is placed at the top of the standard and faces both directions on Des Voeux Road. Below the clock are two signs, one pointing east and the other pointing west giving full information as to the running of the trams in each direction. The signs are illuminated at night. (It would appear that the clock was removed before 1930.)
