That's the name for this beach on the maps, but people would more likely know it as Tai Long Wan. (Tai Long Wan on the map refers to the much larger bay that includes this plus Tai Wan plus Sai Wan.)

Stanley Bay [????- ]

This photo is the second of a pair and shows the western arm of the bay in question - Stanley Bay? The bending woman is Cicely Warren who seems to be collecting something like shellfish into a bucket. Was that the attraction of this stony area? The standing woman was previously identified as Nurse Randal from the Peak Hospital. The photo was sent to my father who had recently left Hong Kong to take up tea planting in Ceylon. The legend on the back reads "Your sister-in-law - 'Sunnyside up' - That's me bending down."

Stanley Bay [????- ]

This photo is such a mess with legends written on the front corrected with Tippex, I wouldn't have posted it but for the fact that it may help to identify the beach. The photo shows Cicely Warren with her two children. The legend at top identifies her friend on the right as a nurse from the Peak Hospital, Nurse Randal. I don't know if this was her first name. I haven't found "Randal" mentioned as a surname elsewhere. The legend on the bottom border of the photo reads "Stanley Beach Hong Kong", written from memory by the little girl in the photo when she inherited the album.

This is one of two near identical photos: one smiling; one unsmiling. I've cropped the inscription that reads Stanley Beach 1934 at the top. The legend on the back reads "Our matshed". It looks a rather solid construction for a matshed. The one next to it looks more of a classic matshed. The photo shows Cicely Warren and her children with another couple. Sorry about the quality of the photo.

This is one of two nearly identical shots: one smiling; one unsmiling. I've cropped off the inscription on the top "Stanley Beach 1934". On the back my Warren cousin has written "Our matshed". It looks quite a solid construction for a matshed. The one next to it looks more of a classic matshed. I wonder if you built/ bought your own matshed, or rented one. The group consists of Cicely Warren and her children and another couple. Sorry about the quality of the photo.

Big Wave Bay (HK Island) [????- ]

 At http://gwulo.com/atom/22775 I posted a photo labelled ShekO Beach by my cousin (the little girl in this picture) when she was trying to identify the pictures after her mother died. Andrew Suddaby replied that it was actually Big Wave Bay. I have now found the sequel in another album and lo, the legend on the back is "Big Wave Bay" written in my aunt's hand (the mother in this picture.) The smartly dressed mystery man in the background of first picture is now sitting on the rock  perhaps telling a story.
