Lo Baan Temple

Lo Baan Temple
This is a view of the ceramic figures on the roof of a local temple - "Lo Baan Miu". It's tucked away in Kennedy Town, so it is rarely visited. To get this view of the figures, walk up the hill from the temple to To Li Terrace, so you are at eye's level with the rooftop.

This is the view of the rooftop above Hung Shing Temple on Queen's Rd East in Wanchai. If you look carefully, you'll see the quality is much poorer, several figures are missing, and the ones that remain have no heads!

Lo Baan (the god of the temple shown at the top of the page) is the patron of builders and carpenters, so I guess the quality of construction reflects this.
