Your fast response is impressive and appreciated. My ship was anchored at the same spot as this ship was. The fenced gate, shown closed in the photo, was where I took my last walk on Kowloon before departure.

This is the same ship that Bruce Lee used when he left HK for the US on April 29 1959.

IDJ has posted this photo of the President Wilson (the ship in the foreground) in Hong Kong again in 1975 - though by then it had changed its name to "Oriental Express":

The former troopship  'General Gordon' was chartered and painted in the colours of the American President Lines for civilian use.The vessel was in Hong Kong in March and May 1950. Its latter arrival at Kowloon Wharf can be read here
