Hi there,
The camera appeared to be standing close to the entrance the then Lady Peel's Clinic, facing Tai Yuen Street. One of the pillars of the shop house shown in the screen captured still remains today.

Thomas - now that you mention it I know exactly where you are talking about, including the remaining pillar, next to Sothern Stadium and the MTR exit A3. Many thanks, Phil

Ten years on, additional photos of Johnston Road have been uploaded onto Gwulo. Looking at the film still after Holden has crossed the road and the photo of the pillar below, the location is Li Chit Street opposite the Chinese Methodist Church.
